Back File and System Conversion
When clients implement an Enterprise Content Management system, they usually have a backlog of documents that they would like to add to their new ECM system.
Frequently clients have boxes or rooms full of paper or files of microfilm or microfiche.
Sometimes these documents are in electronic form and the images and index data need to be exported from the old document imaging system, converted and imported into the new solution. These documents may be in content management systems that are no longer supported or in a system that doesn't have an easy upgrade path, such as the FileNet Panagon platform.
Imaging Solutions can help determine the best method for handling these document backlog and conversion issues. We will work with our customers to determine which documents to convert and the most cost effective means of doing a back file or system conversion. If necessary, we can coordinate with a service bureau who will do the scanning and indexing of physical documents.
