Security and financial control are important issues in the gaming industry. We have implemented a variety a document and imaging management (DIM) solutions to ensure financial integrity.
- In the cages, guest checks are scanned and the images are stored prior to the check being deposited at the bank.
- Three-part slot machine hopper fill tickets that are returned to the accounting department at the end of the day are scanned rather than manually sorted and matched. This manual process used to take several people over 40 hours to accomplish. Today, the ticket number is read off the image via OCR and a custom program merges it with a feed from the gaming system to match the three returned ticket parts, identify any missing ticket sections and reconcile the finances in a fraction of the time. The image is stored for state auditing requirements.
- The accounts payable department implemented an imaging system to manage incoming bills.
