Challenge:
This bank was processing all residential mortgage closing documents manually. Millions of pages a day were being passed around the bank, stored in paper files and providing poor customer service in a very competitive market. Auditing costs, in a very regulated business such as banking, was high. Customer service was a major challenge; reselling loans to their financial partners was also a challenge.

Solution:
Imaging Solutions designed and deployed a capture and content management solution. Imaging Solutions configured a solution that provided for the scanning of all closing documents, indexing via barcodes and drop down lists, interfacing to their loan LOB application, and retrieving documents via the content management system. Additionally, an e-Delivery solution was provided that allows the bank to share loan data with their partners (Wells Fargo, Citibank) to order to re-sell the loans and comply with their partners’ electronic requirements.

Results:
Closing documents are now available to customer service, electronically improving customer relationships. Auditors now have access to documents and partners can buy loans from this bank via e-Delivery, a requirement to do business with Wells Fargo and Citibank. Add-on business is in process in other areas of the bank.
