Challenge:  This manufacturer was processing sales orders via paper and fax. The process was not automated and they did not have a workflow solution. Therefore, booking and shipping orders were not meeting their internal ship on time goals.

Solution:  Imaging Solutions configured a capture, content management and workflow solution that provided for scanning orders via MFD, importing order faxes into the repository from Rightfax, indexing the orders in content repository, imputting data into SAP, and kicking off a workflow process by product category. Customer Service reps use the content management system to review and retrieve order information for customers in the customer service support center.


Results:  Sales orders are now processed faster, shipped faster, and are more accurate, resulting in faster turnaround and improved revenue and cash flow. Customers have choices to purchase products from other similar manufacturers. Providing a streamlined ordering and shipment process is a significant competitive advantage.
